207 accused killed in fake encounters in UP, Akhilesh Yadav claims that most of the people killed were from PDA

The war of words that started between the ruling party and the opposition after the Mangesh Yadav encounter in UP intensified on Tuesday. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav released a graph and claimed that 207 accused have been killed in fake encounters in UP. He also claimed that out of these, the maximum 125 PDA i.e. backward, Dalit and minorities have been killed by the UP police in the name of encounter. However, it is not clear from Akhilesh’s graph whether the 207 fake encounters happened in the last one year or during the entire tenure of the Yogi government.

Akhilesh Yadav posted this graph on social media platform X and wrote that the encounter figures in BJP rule are also the figures of injustice of illegal killings and also of injustice against PDA. At the top of the graph, it is written that the figures of the accused killed in fake encounters.

After this, it is told through three charts below that how many people have been killed in total. In this, 60 percent of the 125 accused are claimed to be related to PDA. Along with this, 40 such people were killed in fake encounters who were non-PDA. Akhilesh’s graph also shows that 42 such accused have also been killed in fake encounters whose data is not available.

Akhilesh Yadav has been attacking since the encounter of Mangesh Yadav in Sultanpur. Mangesh was killed by the police in an encounter, claiming that he was accused of robbery at a jeweler’s shop. After the encounter, Akhilesh Yadav has been attacking the Yogi government of UP and also responding to people through posts. He gave a similar reply on Tuesday morning as well. He wrote that some people are saying that if there is any doubt on the encounter, then go to the court and appeal. The only question to be asked from such people is whether anyone’s life can be brought back from the court?

After the Mangesh encounter, Akhilesh had made a big allegation against the government and even claimed that a person was picked up two days ago and shot dead in the name of an encounter. Now pressure is being exerted on him to change his medical report. The Supreme Court should immediately take cognizance of this serious administrative crime before the evidence is destroyed.

Akhilesh says that the government is carrying out encounters based on caste. Earlier he had said that it seems that the ruling party had deep connections with the people involved in the Sultanpur robbery, that is why before the fake encounter, the ‘main accused’ was contacted and made to surrender and other people from the ruling party were shot at just their feet and killed based on their ‘caste’.

When the main accused has surrendered, all the looted goods should be returned and the government should pay compensation separately because the mental trauma caused by such incidents takes a lot of time to recover from, which leads to loss of business, which should be compensated by the government.

Fake encounters turn the protector into a predator. The solution is not fake encounters, but real law and order. BJP rule is the elixir of criminals. Till the public pressure and anger does not reach its peak, the work of sharing in the loot continues and when it seems that the public will surround them, then fake encounters are done as a superficial balm. The public understands how some people are saved and how others are trapped.
