Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari has completely rejected the speculations being made about the post of Prime Minister. The Union Minister said that he was offered the post of Prime Minister by an opposition party, but I have no such ambition. He said that when I was offered, I asked them why do you want to make me the Prime Minister and why do they think that I should not stay with PM Modi. Anyway, I have no such desire.
Nitin Gadkari, who has been continuously handling the responsibility of the Road Transport Ministry in the Modi government, said that I have received proposals before and after the Lok Sabha elections. When he was asked during the interview that when is he ready to become an alternative to PM Modi, he replied that I am not in this race and I am happy where I am at this time.
In his interview to India Today, Gadkari said that neither am I in the race for the post of Prime Minister nor have I given my biodata to anyone for this post. I do my work in the government happily and I enjoy it. If you are more interested in all these things then you should go and ask PM Modi or the Sangh.
Talking about his role in the party, Gadkari said that I am a party worker and a member of the Sangh. I do not care whether I get any post or not. I believe that politics is the best way to serve the people, and as long as I am in politics, I will continue to serve the people, apart from this I do not have to worry about anything else.
