After resigning from JMM, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand has finally joined BJP. Champai Soren was given party membership in a gathering organized by the state BJP at Shakha Maidan in Dhurva, Ranchi. During this, many big leaders of BJP were present, including Himanta Biswa Sarma and Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
After joining BJP, he accused the Hemant Soren government of spying on him. This was the first time Champai himself accused the Jharkhand government of spying on him. Earlier, only BJP was making this allegation.
He said, I fought a long battle in Jharkhand state, I nurtured an organization with my blood and sweat and today I have left that same organization. Earlier I had said this in a post and expressed the pain I had felt inside the party. After a lot of humiliation, I thought of retiring. But due to the love and support of the people of Jharkhand, I decided to remain politically active. I am a struggling person, I have seen the ups and downs of struggle. I had thought that I will form a party or if I get a good party, I will join it.
Openly attacked the Hemant government
Champai Soren said, I stepped forward to serve the people. We never thought that they will send spies behind me. They followed me till Delhi. I thought that they are spying on the man who fought for Jharkhand. They sent people to spy, that day I decided that I will join any party and serve the people.
Why the decision to join BJP?
Champai Soren said, there are many big and small parties but I thought a lot according to the situation of Jharkhand. There were two big parties in the country, BJP and Congress. Congress did most of the firing in the agitations. The agitations were crushed. Gua firing incident happened. Many people were shot dead. Congress always fired at the tribals. That is why I chose BJP. If we have to save Santhal Pargana, the land of Sidhu Kanhu, then we have to join BJP. I have faith in Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. If we have to save Santhal Pargana and the tribals, then only BJP can do it.
Champai further said, Bangladeshi infiltration in Santhal has changed everything. Tribals will not be found there. Villages are vanishing one by one. Jharkhand has got its separate villages by fighting. Santhal Pargana has been created at the tip of an arrow. But the honor of mother and sister has to be protected. We are sons of that blood, so we will stop the infiltrators. We did a labour movement. Got a job in Tata, never tempted anyone. I am the same today as I was 40 years ago. We will not tolerate atrocities on tribals.
Champai Soren resigned from the JMM membership on August 28. Giving information about this on his social media platform X, he said, today I resigned from the primary membership and all the posts of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Our struggle will continue on the issues of tribals, natives, Dalits, backward and common people of Jharkhand.

Just a few days ago, Champai Soren met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. Pictures of this meeting were shared by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter and it was said that Champai will join BJP on August 30.
Champai Soren accused JMM of insulting him
After this, Champai also wrote a long post on Instagram and expressed his displeasure, accusing the Hemant Soren government and the JMM of insulting him.
