US MP Mary Alvarado Gill has been accused of forcing a colleague for sex. There are reports that a case has also been filed against her in this regard. The colleague who made the allegations claims that he has also been injured due to the demand for sex. However, the MP’s lawyer has denied the allegations. The special thing is that Gill had also introduced a bill against sexual violence.
According to Sky News, California State Senator Gill’s former Chief of Staff Chad Condit has filed a lawsuit against him. According to the channel, in the 39-page lawsuit, Condit has alleged that he was asked to have sex several times during his tenure. He also alleged that the senator had ‘groomed’ him for this.
According to the report, Condit alleges that she was pressured into having sex in a car last time, which caused her to suffer three herniated discs and a hip injury. According to the complaint, Condit and Alvarado Gill met in 2022. During that time, Alvarado Gill failed to win election to the California Assembly. After this, she was elected State Senator and made Condit Chief of Staff.
She has alleged that the senator began “grooming” her with her personal information. According to the report, Condit has alleged that Alvarado Gil also asked her to do personal tasks like playing with the children and taking care of the dog. She has alleged that the senator initiated a sexual relationship during a visit to Inyo County.
When I refused, I was harassed at work
According to the report, Alvarado Gil became angry when the former colleague refused, but continued to make offensive comments. Condit claims that Alvarado Gil even incited Senate HR to reprimand him for refusing sex. Also, Alvarado Gil allegedly went to his house and accused Condit of cheating in front of his wife.
Condit received notice of his termination from the State Senate in December. He is currently seeking compensation over the allegations.
