Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold to Launch in India on August 14 with Pixel 9 Pro

Google is scheduled to hold its hardware event on August 13. The tech giant has released a new teaser video for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold almost a month ahead of the “Made by Google” event, revealing the design and name of its upcoming foldable Android phone. The teaser reveals an off-white colour option for the foldable. It seems to have a dual-level rear camera design. Notably, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has been confirmed to come in India. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to come as an upgrade over last year’s Pixel Fold.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Design

Soon after revealing the Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google released a teaser confirming the design and name Video The teaser video shows the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The smartphone is shown with the tagline “Foldable phone built for the Gemini era” and we can see an AI chatbot in the video. The foldable looks like it has a primary camera rectangular bump and the lens is positioned vertically in a dual-level design. The teaser video reveals the external display of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and its hinge mechanism. The cover display has a hole punch cutout. It is displayed in an off-white finish that looks like Google’s signature porcelain shade. More accurate details will be revealed upon launch.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be launched in India

Google has confirmed that it will bring the Pixel 9 Pro Fold to India. While the previous model Google Pixel Fold was not launched in the country. The book-style foldable smartphone will be introduced alongside the Pixel 9 Pro in the country on August 14, a day after the global launch event.

In a post on X, Google India wrote that “Out with the old, in with the fold, Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is coming to India for the first time. The post shows a black colour option of the smartphone. Google’s first foldable smartphone Pixel Fold has not yet arrived in India. Pixel 9 Pro Fold 2 is expected to compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, OnePlus Open and Tecno Phantom V Fold when it arrives in India.
