The army is on high alert in Jammu region and complete vigilance is being maintained here. Actually, some suspicious persons have been seen in Pathankot district of Punjab. According to India Today report, this information was given to the army by a woman, which was taken seriously and high alert was declared in Jammu. As a precaution, army schools in Jammu have been closed till Saturday. Many steps are being taken to ensure security. Security measures have been increased at army and defense establishments. Apart from this, Punjab Police has also released a sketch of a suspect about whom any kind of information has been sought.

In this way, attempts of infiltration of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir are continuing. In view of this, the security forces are engaged in detecting underground and cross-border tunnels. For this, an operation has been started on the international border in Samba sector. Police officials said that a large number of police and security personnel equipped with special equipment are engaged in this work. Under this, the border areas are being closely examined. Also, more focus is being given on dense bushes and forest areas.

50 to 60 terrorists infiltrated Jammu
A police officer involved in the operation said, “A comprehensive anti-tunneling exercise has been launched to detect the presence of any tunnel across the border.” He said that drones are also being used in the search operation. This operation is being carried out daily in response to the security threats posed by possible terrorist infiltration. He said that security forces are clearing dense bushy areas to eliminate the possibility of tunnels. Police had recently said that Pakistan-sponsored terrorists have infiltrated Jammu and Kashmir through the international border. They have been involved in terrorist attacks in the region. Reports also indicate that in the last few months, 50 to 60 foreign terrorists have infiltrated Jammu through the international border and the Line of Control.
