Israel Defense Force (IDF) said that 150 attacks were carried out with missiles and rockets on 300 Hezbollah locations between 6:30 am on Monday (3:30 am local time) and 7:30 am.
The Israeli military released the photo in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, announcing that military chief Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi was approving additional strikes from the military headquarters in Tel Aviv.
This is one of the deadliest air strikes in the war against Hezbollah terrorists that has been going on for the past one year. Halevi and other Israeli leaders have promised to take even more stringent action against Hezbollah in the coming days. On the other hand, Lebanon has closed all schools and colleges across the country for two days in view of the Israeli attacks.
While Israel was carrying out the attacks, Israeli officials reported air raid sirens sounding in northern Israel, warning of a rocket attack from Lebanon. On Monday, Israel had appealed to the residents of southern Lebanon to vacate their homes. Israel claimed that Hezbollah had stored weapons there and warned of horrific attacks. According to the report, before the attack, a recorded message was also sent by Israel as an alert on the phones of the people of Lebanon.
