For the Haryana assembly elections, Dushyant Chautala-led Jannayak Janata Party and Chandrashekhar Ravan’s Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) have released the second list of candidates. A total of 12 candidates have been given tickets in the second list. In this list, 10 candidates of JJP and two candidates of ASP have got place. Earlier, in the first list released, a total of 19 candidates were given tickets.
In the new list, JJP has nominated Sushil Garg councilor from Panchkula, Avtar Kardahan Sarpanch from Ambala Cantt, Dr. Sukhwinder Kaur from Pehowa, Sandeep Garhi from Kaithal, Anil Tyagi from Ganaur, Sushil Bairagi Sarpanch from Safidon, Advocate Pandit Sushila Deswal from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, Amarnath JE from Pataudi, Ashok Jangra from Gurgaon and Jaan Mohammad from Ferozepur Jhirka. Whereas ASP has announced the name of 2 candidates. These include the name of Parul Nagpal from Ambala City and Karna Singh Bhukkal from Nilokheri.
Sushila Deswal against Hooda, Avtar against Vij
JJP has given ticket to Advocate Pandit Sushila Deswal from Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi. Veteran Congress leader and former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda is the candidate from here. JJP has given ticket to Avtar Kardahan Sarpanj from Ambala Cantt. He will face veteran BJP leader and former Home Minister Anil Vij from this seat.
Alliance between JJP and ASP after separation from BJP
After separating from BJP, JJP has now formed an alliance with Chandrashekhar’s party Azad Samaj Party. In this, JJP will field its candidates on 70 seats and ASP on 20 seats. While announcing the alliance, the prominent leaders of both the parties had said that they will continue to raise the issue of farmers prominently. Apart from this, they will also work on how to take Haryana forward. 12 September is the last date for nomination in Haryana. Elections will be held on 5 October and the results will be declared on 8 October.
