Jio Intelligent Shopping cart showcased at india mobile congress 2024 how it works

Jio Intelligent Shopping cart: Whenever you go to a big grocery store, what do you do? You take a trolley, quickly fill it with goods and then stand in long queues for the bill. Imagine if after putting the goods in the cart or trolley, you do not have to go to the billing line! At the India Mobile Congress 2024, Jio has shown an ‘Intelligent Shopping Cart’ equipped with Artificial Intelligence.

The company says that it is quite easy to use. The ‘Intelligent Shopping Cart’ is directly linked to the billing desk of the store. In such a situation, when a customer puts the product in the cart, the cameras and scanners equipped with artificial intelligence installed on the cart will send that product to the billing desk. From there the price of the product will be directly added to the bill.

If a product is accidentally added to the shopping cart. Or if the customer does not want to buy a product, then after removing it from the cart, its price will be immediately minus from the bill. Finally, the billing desk will scan the QR code of the customer’s cart and the final bill will be prepared.

Reliance Retail is currently using ‘Intelligent Shopping Cart’ as a project. It is being used in some selected stores in Hyderabad and Mumbai. Soon it can be brought to other stores in the country also.

Preparation to connect electronic scales with AI

According to Jio, it has also made preparations to connect the electronic scales of small shopkeepers with Artificial Intelligence. For example, if moong dal is placed on an electronic scale, the scale will not only tell its weight but will also tell the price.
