A major accident has occurred in Pune, Maharashtra. It is reported that the helicopter crashed on Tuesday. 3 people have died in this. However, it is not yet clear whether the helicopter was private or government. The accident happened around 7 am. It is feared that dense fog could be the main reason for the accident, but till now nothing has been said officially.
Pimpri Chinchwad Police says that the helicopter crashed in the hilly area around 6.45 am on Wednesday. He has informed that till now it has not been known whose helicopter it was because flames are rising in it. The accident happened near Bavdhan. According to local media reports, the helicopter took off from the helipad of Oxford Golf Club.
There were three people aboard this helicopter flying to Mumbai. These included pilots Paramjeet Singh and GK Pillai and an engineer, Pritam Bhardwaj. Police say that preliminary information has revealed that the helicopter belonged to Heritage Aviation of Pune. Some pictures and videos of the accident have also surfaced, in which flames are visible.
Even in August, a private helicopter going from Mumbai to Hyderabad had crashed. Then the accident took place in Paud village, in which 4 people were injured.
