The design of the G 580 EQ is similar to the petrol and diesel engine versions of the G Wagon. It has round headlamps and closed-off grille. Twin screen setup has been provided on the dashboard in its cabin. The G 580 EQ has propeller themed air vents. It has been introduced in five exterior colors and single interior color. There is an electric motor on each vehicle which provides power of 579 bhp and peak torque of 1,164 Nm. The 116 kWh battery pack of the G 580 EQ offers a range of approximately 473 kilometers on a single charge. Its weight is more than three tons. It has been introduced as a Completely Build Unit (CBU). Its battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in about 32 minutes using fast charging.
This electric SUV can reach the speed of 0-100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds. Its top speed is 180 kmph. Its cabin is similar to the internal combustion engine (ICE) version. However, it has some different buttons according to the electric version. Its ground clearance is 250 mm. It has been provided with G-Steering which helps in reducing the turning radius. The G 580 EQ comes with safety features like steering assist, 360 degree camera, speed limit assist and transparent bonnet function.
Last year, Mercedes achieved its highest annual sales in the country. The company’s sales have been around 19,565 units. This is an increase of about 12.4 percent compared to the previous year. The company has got growth from its existing vehicles as well as newly launched models. Last year, Mercedes launched 14 new products in the country. These included nine top-end vehicles. The company is expected to continue its growth momentum in the current year.
