Windsor EV can also be purchased without battery subscription. Its prices range between Rs 13.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Booking for this will start from October 3 and its delivery will be done from October 12. This crossover utility vehicle will offer sedan comfort and SUV-like space. Windsor EV is available in three variants – Excite, Exclusive and Essence. It will compete with Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Motors’ Nexon EV. Windsor EV has connected LED lights on both front and rear. It has 18-inch alloy wheels for better aerodynamics. It has MG logo below the connected LED DRL strip in the front. It has a charging port on the front left fender. This electric crossover utility vehicle is available in four colors – Pearl White, Clay Beige, Turquoise Green and Starburst Black.
Its cabin has been designed keeping in mind the experience of both luxury and technology. It has black leatherette seats. Its flat bottom steering wheel is also wrapped in leatherette. There is a 15.6 touchscreen on the dashboard of the Windsor EV. Along with this, an 8.8-inch digital display has been provided for the driver.
It also has features like automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, powered driver seat and panoramic glass roof. Its 38 kWh battery can generate 136 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Its range on a single charge is about 331 km. The initial customers of Windsor EV will get full warranty on the battery. MG Motor has started the option of battery rental to make its EV affordable. This has reduced the starting price of the company’s lowest priced electric car Comet EV to Rs 4.99 lakh. With this, customers will have to pay a cost of Rs 2.5 per kilometer.
