Motorola Preparing to Launch Razr 50D, May Get 50 Megapixel Primary Camera, Samsung, Vivo, Huawei

Motorola, one of the big smartphone companies, can introduce Razr 50D next week. The design of this clamshell-style foldable smartphone may be similar to the company’s Razr 50. It can have a 6.9 inch inner display and 3.6 inch cover screen.

However, Motorola has not given any information about the launch of the new smartphone. japan telecom company NTT Docomo A microsite for the Razr 50D has been created on Razr’s website. This smartphone can be launched on December 19. According to this microsite, the price of Razr 50D will be JPY 1,14,950 (approximately Rs 65,000). Pre-reservation has started for this smartphone. This foldable smartphone has rounded sides. However, it could also be the Docomo exclusive model of Motorola’s Razr 50. This smartphone can be brought in a single variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

The dual-SIM Razr 50D will have a 6.9-inch full HD+ pOLED inner display and a 3.6-inch outer display. The rear camera unit of this smartphone will have a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel secondary camera. It may have a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The battery of this smartphone can be 4,000 mAh. Stereo speakers can be found in it with Dolby Atmos support.

Shipments of foldable smartphones have declined by about one percent in the third quarter this year. This is the first decline after six consecutive quarters of growth. After Samsung in this segment, there are Honor, Huawei, Motorola and Xiaomi. According to the report of market research firm Counterpoint, the major reason for the decline in shipments of foldable smartphones in the third quarter could be the weak sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, despite this the company has a share of 56 percent in this market. Counterpoint’s international foldable smartphone market tracker shows that Samsung’s sales have declined in China’s smartphone market. The main reason behind this is the increasing sales of new foldable smartphones from Honor, Xiaomi and Huawei. Apart from this, Samsung is facing tough competition from Motorola’s Razr foldable smartphones in some markets.
