Prashant Kishore, who announced the formation of his political party on Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October after a padyatra across Bihar, has claimed that Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United (JDU) will not be able to cross 20 seats in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections. Prashant Kishore, who is famous as PK as an election strategist, has also announced that if Jan Suraj gets a chance to form the government in 2025, then liquor prohibition will be abolished within an hour. Prashant Kishore has been giving continuous interviews to many news organizations for the last few days and is claiming that his party will surprise everyone and form the government in 2025. In support of his claims, he points to the electoral victories of different parties and leaders which were fought under his management and says – if you can make others win, then why won’t you win yourself.
Prashant Kishor said in an interview to Live Cities on Thursday that no matter which side Nitish Kumar is on, his JDU will not get more than 20 seats. He said that as soon as a third option emerges in Bihar, all these equations may not break but will crumble. He said that if Nitish remains the face of NDA in 2025, then nothing can be better than this for Jan Suraj. He said that the biggest anti-incumbency wave is against Nitish. If Nitish remains the CM candidate, he will prove to be the weakest link of NDA. Refusing to give credit to Nitish for the results of the Lok Sabha elections, Prashant Kishor said that votes were cast only in favor of PM Narendra Modi and against Lalu Yadav.
Prashant Kishore said that the ground reality of Bihar is that there is a class which cannot vote for Lalu Yadav under any circumstances and there is another class which, no matter how angry with Lalu, cannot vote for BJP or NDA. The result of this was seen in the Lok Sabha elections. As soon as the third option arises, this equation may or may not be completely cleared, but it will definitely collapse. Referring to the defeat of RJD candidate Bima Bharti in the Rupauli assembly by-election, PK emphasized his point.
Prashant Kishor said that whether Nitish Kumar fights with BJP, Mahagathbandhan or fights alone, it is almost impossible for JDU to get more than 20 seats. We will fight 100 seats in NDA, at most we will fight 105. Last time we had 72 MLAs so we settled for 110 seats. Today we have 42, so we will not get 150 seats. Now there is Jitan Ram Manjhi, Chirag Paswan is also there. The seats are only 243. He said that JDU will not be able to fight more than 110 seats and in such a situation it is difficult for JDU to win more than 20 seats on its symbol.
Prashant Kishore said that if Jan Suraj gets a chance, he will stop liquor ban in an hour. Prashant Kishore, who put Mahatma Gandhi’s photo on the poster of Jan Suraj, citing Gandhi, said that Nitish’s people have spread confusion in the name of Gandhi. Liquor ban was used in many countries but it did not benefit, it caused harm. If Gandhiji has said anywhere that the government should ban liquor by making a law, show him that sentence and he will touch Nitish’s feet and apologize. Gandhiji saw liquor ban as a social effort and said that society should be awakened as to what is wrong with liquor so that its consumption is reduced. PK said that it is like Gandhi had said that vegetarianism has benefits, so tomorrow the government makes a law that non-vegetarians will be put in jail.
On the failure of prohibition, Prashant Kishore said that where is prohibition implemented. Medicine is beneficial but it will be beneficial only when you take it. Liquor shops have been closed but home delivery has started. The effect of this decision is that a poor state like Bihar has suffered a revenue loss of 20 thousand crores rupees. And this money is going to corrupt police, officers and mafia. The administration is busy making money in the name of prohibition. More than 6 lakh cases have been filed and more than one lakh are in jail. Alcohol ban was talked about in the name of women but the woman is the most troubled because her husband and son are involved in it.
