Reliance Jio emerge world’s largest company in data usage set records Leave behind china

Reliance Jio has made another record. The company has become the number one company in terms of data consumption worldwide. It has also left Chinese companies behind in terms of data consumption. Reliance Jio’s June quarter figures show that the company’s data consumption has exceeded 4400 crore GB. If compared to last year’s figures, this jump is 33 percent more. This is the only company in the country whose customers are spending more than 1GB of data on an average every day.

Jio customers are also using 5G data a lot. The number of 5G customers is around 13 crores who use a large amount of data. However, 5G is still available to customers without any extra charge. Eligible customers can also use unlimited 5G data on recharge with 4G data plan. Jio currently has 49 crore customers. In the last year itself, the company has added more than 4 crore customers.

Throwing light on these figures for the quarter, Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash M Ambani said that the backbone of Digital India is affordable internet with high coverage. Jio is contributing well to this, and the company is proud of this. The new prepaid plans will promote innovation and growth in the 5G and AI sector. He said that in the coming time, Jio will further strengthen its leadership in the market on the basis of its better network and services.

Not only mobile users, the company has also made records in the case of fixed wireless internet. Jio has become the first telecom company to provide airfiber to more than 10 lakh homes and premises. Along with the internet, Jio users are also not behind in voice calling. Talking about the June quarter, the company has registered a growth of 6 percent in voice calling. The company has now reached a record level of 1.42 trillion minutes.
