Not Rohit, Virat or Dhoni…this is Jaspreet Bumrah’s favorite captain
Jasprit Bumrah, who came to Indian Express’ Express Adda, explained Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and said, ‘There is a lot to learn from Rohit Sharma, how he has improved as a captain, as a captain you make mistakes, captaincy is full of mistakes, then you get better. So he has learned from his mistakes, he has always been open to feedback, he is not stubborn that only my way is right, he listens to everyone, but then filters what things work for him. Then he understands the bowlers very well, because many times when bowling, there is a temptation to bowl one more over, two more overs, but you have to understand that you are a human being, you get tired, you should get a break, how you manage the players, how you create the right atmosphere in the team, the atmosphere should be such that the player does not feel shy or scared. So that everyone can play freely, so there are many such things from him, which the young player can learn. I am fortunate that I have had the opportunity to play a lot under his captaincy. He has seen how I have improved as a player.
Surya spoke openly about his relationship with Gambhir- When I went for practice…
Bumrah said about Virat’s captaincy, ‘Virat Kohli is different, he is full of energy, he has a lot of passion, he pushed us a lot in terms of fitness, he changed things like this. Virat is not the captain, but still he is still a leader on the field.
