Royal Enfield to Launch Electric Motorcycle Flying Flea C6 In America before India

Royal Enfield, a manufacturer of powerful motorcycles, has introduced its first electric motorcycle Flying Flea C6. The company’s upcoming electric motorcycles will be brought under the sub-brand Flying Flea. However, Flying Flea C6 will be launched in the US and Europe before India.

Siddhartha Lal, managing director of Eicher Motors, which owns Royal Enfield, said he believes there is more demand in the US and European markets for high-end products like the Flying Flea C6. However, along with this he said that this electric motorcycle is likely to get good response in the country also. Lal said, “India is definitely always important for us. However, other markets may see better demand initially.” Lal said that the company has no plans to enter the entry-level segment of motorcycles.

The design of the Flying Flea C6 is inspired by the Flying Flea motorcycle of the 1940s, which was built for use in the Second World War. In World War II, these motorcycles were dropped through parachute. Its use helped soldiers in movement in remote areas. The design of this electric motorcycle of Royal Enfield gives a different look. It has round LED headlight and girder forks on the front. However, unlike the company’s petrol-powered motorcycles, it only has 17-inch tyres. It also has a forged aluminum frame. This means that the company wants to position this motorcycle in the modern classic segment with a good range. With this, it will be able to give tough competition to the electric two-wheelers already present in the market.

The height of this electric motorcycle is somewhat low. A two-seater version of Flying Flea C6 will also be brought. It will also have a round TFT display. It is estimated that this electric motorcycle may have a fixed battery with a range of 100-150 kilometers. It may also have better power and torque. The company has not given information about the remaining specifications of this electric motorcycle. Sales of electric two-wheelers have increased rapidly in the last few years. Many automobile companies are launching their models in this segment.
