Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Today atrocities against women and safety of children are serious concerns of the society. Many strict laws have been made for the safety of women in the country, but we need to make it more active. The faster the decisions are made in cases related to atrocities against women, the greater will be the assurance of safety to half the population.”

We can say with satisfaction that our Supreme Court, our judiciary has tried to discharge this responsibility very well. After independence, the judiciary protected the spirit of justice, whenever the question of the country’s security came, the judiciary protected the unity of India by keeping national interest paramount.”

He said, “75 years of Supreme Court is not just the journey of an institution, it is the journey of the Constitution of India and constitutional values. In this journey, the contribution of our Constitution makers and many great men of the judiciary has been very important. It also has the contribution of crores of countrymen from generation to generation who have kept their faith in the judiciary unwavering in every situation. The people of India have never distrusted the Supreme Court, our judiciary, so these 75 years of Supreme Court further enhance the pride of Mother of Democracy India. The country is going to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Constitution, so there is pride and inspiration in this occasion too.”
