Both the youths belong to the Jatav community (Dalit). They are accused of harassing the girls by talking to them on the phone. The SIM card recovered from the girls is in the name of one of the accused Deepak.

The report revealed that they died due to hanging. On Wednesday, the family members had demanded to call the DM and SP before the last rites of both. According to the report filed, on August 26, the village friends had left the house to see the Janmashtami event. The event ended at one o’clock in the night but both did not return home. The next morning, the bodies of both were found hanging from a tree in the garden outside the village. The father of both the girls was calling it a murder, citing the injury marks on their bodies. He said that why were the bodies taken down from the tree before the forensic team reached? On Wednesday, there was a ruckus for a long time before the last rites and the last rites could be done only after the DM and SP convinced them.

In the case, a report of abetment to suicide was filed in which Deepak son Shivdayal, resident of Bhainsar, Dharampur police station Kampil and Pawan son Sankoolal, resident of Bhagoutipur police station Kaimganj have been named. Both belong to the Dalit community. The father alleges that both of them have harassed our daughters. Both used to talk to the daughters. The SIM found from the dead body is also in Deepak’s name. The police have registered a report and arrested both the named youths. They are being questioned about the incident.
