Frightened by the CBI raid at the main post office of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, the post office superintendent committed suicide by shooting himself on Wednesday morning. Before committing suicide, he wrote a suicide note and also posted it on the office’s WhatsApp group. In it, he has written the names of several employees and held them responsible for his death. The anti-corruption team of CBI Ghaziabad reached the main post office in Bulandshahr city at around four o’clock on Tuesday evening and started the operation by raiding the post office premises. The raid continued till four o’clock this morning. During this time, post office superintendent TP Singh was also questioned till four o’clock in the morning.
The CBI had taken all the documents with them. After the CBI team left, the Post Superintendent reached his residence in Aligarh and shot himself with his licensed pistol. Before committing suicide, he posted a suicide note on the post office’s Whatsapp group and also blamed several employees of the office for his suicide.
He has written that on February 16, 2021, he took charge of the main post office of Bulandshahr, after which Suresh Kumar, resident of Saidapur, Bulandshahr, Manoj Kumar, resident of Shikarpur town who is currently Deputy Manager in Narhat Lalitpur, Mail Overseer Yogendra Singh, resident of Khurja, Bulandshahr and Mill Overseas Banwari Lal posted in Anoop Shahar town and employee Tekchand constantly pressurized him to do their irregular work.
The Postal Superintendent has mentioned in his suicide note that an employee named Suresh Chandra had attacked him in his office as per a pre-planned programme. In the suicide note, T P Singh has held all these people responsible for his suicide. Police is investigating all the angles as per the suicide note.
