Users will Soon to Use Photos in WhatsApp Polls Feature For Channels

WhatsApp first introduced the poll feature in 2022. Since then, the instant messaging platform has continuously updated its users to improve their experiences. Now a new report from WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp features, has revealed that the WhatsApp beta update for Android version 2.25.1.17 is providing a new capability for users. Users will be able to add photos in the poll option inside the channel, which means that users will not only be able to write but will also be able to use photos while answering the survey. Let us know in detail about this feature of WhatsApp.

WhatsApp photo poll feature for channels

of report AccordingThis feature is expected to be released in an upcoming update and is currently part of the beta. It allows users to select and attach photos to the poll. This means that users can use a specific photo for each poll option.

WABetaInfo says this may be especially important in situations where text detail may not be complete. A visual context would be more beneficial. For example, if the WhatsApp channel is based on art, design or food, then it would be better to keep a photo as a poll option. This is where this feature comes in most handy.

However, it still has some limitations. For example once a photo is associated with a poll option, other poll options must also include the photo and cannot contain text. Also, for now this feature will be available only for channels and it may take some time to reach group chat and personal chat.

When will this feature be released for all users?

According to WABetaInfo, this feature is still a work in progress and will only be available in a future update. There is no current release timeline, so users will have to wait for its official launch.
