According to sources, the cabinet may be expanded in Bihar in the near future. Assembly elections are going to be held in the state next year. The cabinet can be expanded once before that.
According to the information, BJP President JP Nadda reached CM Nitish Kumar’s official residence directly from Patna airport on Friday. There was a discussion between the two leaders about the ongoing schemes in the field of health in Bihar. Along with this, there was also a discussion between the two about the by-elections to be held in the coming days. Apart from this, cabinet expansion was discussed. During this, apart from both Deputy CMs Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources Minister Vijay Chaudhary, BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal and Health Minister Mangal Pandey were also present.

The maximum limit of the state council of ministers is 36. That means 6 more ministers can be appointed now. There is still more than a year left for the assembly elections in Bihar. Before this, the discussion of a cabinet expansion has intensified. By appointing some new ministers, BJP and JDU can try to appease different sections before the elections.
