Bids will be invited for this. On the orders of the Government of India, the Yogi government is taking this action under the Enemy Property Act. Let us tell you that this land of Musharraf is in Baghpat district. Its auction process will continue till 5 September.

Let us tell you that before the partition, Musharraf’s family lived in Kotana village of Baghpat district. His father Musharrafuddin and Mata Begum Zarin both belonged to this village. This family moved to Delhi in 1943 before independence. They had a mansion in the village, which has now turned into ruins.

After the partition of India, this family went to Pakistan. Later, according to the rules made by the Indian government, it was declared enemy property. According to media reports, some land of the Musharraf family has been sold earlier as well. There was property here in the name of his brother too. About 15 years ago, it was declared enemy property.

Some of the Musharraf family’s property is recorded in Khadar and some in Bangar. The Enemy Property Custodian Office has currently started the process of auctioning the Bangar property. It will continue till September 5. This entire process will be online. The bidding for this property of the Musharraf family will start from Rs 37.5 lakh. This land will be given to the person who makes the highest bid.

What is enemy property?

The country’s Parliament passed the Enemy Property Act in 1968 after the 1965 war with Pakistan. According to this, the property of those who left India after the partition or after the wars of 1965 and 1971 and went to Pakistan and took citizenship there was declared enemy property. The Government of India got the right over such properties.
