Chhagan Bhujbal Sharad Pawar: Maharashtra’s political turmoil seems to be intensifying. There is a stir over the meeting of Chhagan Bhujbal, minister in the Shinde government and senior NCP leader, with Sharad Pawar. However, Bhujbal has also given clarification regarding this. He said that he had come to meet senior Pawar on the issue of the dispute in the Maratha community over the demand for OBC reservation. However, Ajit Pawar is not satisfied with this clarification and his reaction seems to show that he is angry. It is worth noting that various NCP leaders including Chhagan Bhujbal had left Sharad Pawar and joined Ajit Pawar. After this, he was also given a ministerial post in the Shinde government. But now once again the political meaning of his meeting with Sharad Pawar is being drawn.

There are many kinds of talks going on in the Ajit Pawar faction regarding the meeting of Sharad Pawar and Chhagan Bhujbal. Some leaders say that Chhagan Bhujbal wants to change sides and capitalize on his image as an OBC leader. According to the Economic Times, a leader of this faction said that Ajit Pawar is the leader of your party. He is also the Deputy CM. If you feel that there is an issue, then bring it to the notice of your party leader. By talking about meeting opposition leader Sharad Pawar and resolving the issue, Chhagan Bhujbal has tried to show that he is a non-controversial leader not only of the NCP but also of the state. This leader further said that at a time when Ajit Pawar is asking his uncle to retire and let him come forward for leadership, it is not right for Bhujbal to do so.

It is also surprising that Chhagan Bhujbal informed Praful Patel and not Ajit Pawar about his visit to meet Sharad Pawar. Ajit Pawar, on the other hand, refused to comment on the meeting between Bhujbal and Sharad Pawar. In an informal conversation, Ajit said that if anyone wants to leave him, he can do so. He said that new people are ready to take responsibilities. There is also a discussion in Ajit Pawar’s group that Bhujbal is angry about why he was not given a Lok Sabha ticket as promised. Not only this, he was not even consulted in the Rajya Sabha elections.

On the other hand, Supriya Sule said that she is not aware of what is going on, but she definitely said that Bhujbal is not getting importance in NCP. However, sources also say that it will not be easy for Sharad Pawar to take Bhujbal back into the party. The reason behind this is that the Maratha community is angry with Bhujbal. Actually, Bhujbal is opposing the inclusion of the Maratha community in OBC.
