Prabhat Jha Death: Senior Madhya Pradesh BJP leader Prabhat Jha has passed away. He was the president of Madhya Pradesh and was also a Rajya Sabha MP of the party. He breathed his last on Thursday at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. He has two sons. He originally hails from Koriahi village in Sitamarhi district of Bihar. Prabhat Jha was counted among those BJP leaders who had credibility in the intellectual world. He also held the post of National Vice President of BJP.

BJP spokesperson Hitesh Bajpai has confirmed his death. He was airlifted and admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram at the end of June. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav and state BJP general secretary Hitanand Sharma had reached the hospital in Bhopal to know about his condition. But when his health did not improve, he was brought to Gurugram.

He was brought to Delhi by air ambulance
According to BJP leaders, on June 29, Prabhat Jha was brought to Delhi from Bhopal by air ambulance due to neurological problems. He was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, where his routine treatment is also done at Medanta. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Hitanand Sharma Bansal also reached the hospital to know about his condition.

He had a big stature in Gwalior-Chambal
Prabhat Jha was counted among the top BJP leaders of Gwalior-Chambal. He was elected to Rajya Sabha twice by his party. Despite being from Bihar, Prabhat Jha was known as a big leader of Madhya Pradesh.
