Canada Man Sues YouTube Meta TikTok Reddit For Being Too Addictive

A person has filed a case against many social media platforms including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook. The person says that all these social media platforms spoil his mind. All these platforms are like an addiction which has a bad effect on mental health.

A man living in Montreal, Canada has filed a lawsuit against social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok etc. The man alleges that these have a negative impact on his mental health. The man says that he started using social media in 2015. After which his working capacity has declined and his physical health has also deteriorated. Report According to the report, the man used to use social media apps for 4 hours a day.

But later, seeing its bad effects, he reduced the time spent on it. The man reduced this time to 2 hours. But even after this, social media was having a bad effect on his mental health. His sleep quality was deteriorating. The man filed this case through a law firm called Lambert Avocats.
According to Philippe Brault of the law firm, this problem is not just of a few people, but this problem is happening to everyone nowadays. The firm says that it took this case because this problem is increasing day by day and has been going on since ancient times. According to Philip, 52 percent of children between the ages of 7 and 11 in Canada use social media. Social media platform owners should give priority to the health and safety of their users.

The aim of the case is to compensate the people for the losses incurred due to these platforms designed carelessly by the companies. The law firm believes that these platforms take advantage of psychological weaknesses. Such content or programs are shown on them in which the person remains engrossed for a long time and it affects their daily life.
