PM Modi has recently returned from his historic Ukraine visit. Countries across the world, including the US, were keeping an eye on his visit. There was a sharp reaction from the US on the PM’s visit to Russia. But India ignored it and kept its relations with Russia strong. During the PM’s Ukraine visit, the whole world saw it from its own perspective. While the US called it a better effort for peace in Europe, many countries called it an example of India’s independent foreign policy. Reacting to this, the Russian media also said that India is constantly being pressured by Western countries to listen only to them, but India has been the epitome of its independent foreign policy. Along with this, the Russian media also wrote many things about the closeness between PM Modi and Putin.
