Bengal laborer killed in Haryana on suspicion of eating beef, 5 cow protection group members arrested, how was the crime committed?

A sensational incident has come to light in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri district. Haryana Police has arrested five people of the Gau Rakshak Dal for allegedly beating a migrant laborer from West Bengal to death. According to a senior police officer, the accused killed Sabir Malik on August 27 on suspicion of eating beef. Police is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.

The police officer said that Sabir Malik was suspected of eating beef. Due to this, the members of the Gau Rakshak Dal became active. The accused Abhishek, Mohit, Ravinder, Kamaljeet and Sahil called Sabir Malik to their shops on the pretext of selling empty plastic bottles. After this, the accused beat him up badly.

The police officer said that some locals intervened when they saw the victim being beaten. Even after this, the accused did not listen and they took Sabir Malik to another place. There the accused again beat Sabir badly. This led to his death. The victim Malik lived in a slum near Bandra village in Charkhi Dadri district.

He used to deal with plastic waste and junk to earn his livelihood. The police officer said that all the five accused have been arrested. Two minors have also been arrested in this case. A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (BNS). The police is investigating the incident.

It is noteworthy that in 2023, a similar sensational incident came to light in Loharu in Bhiwani district of Haryana. Two Muslim youths Nasir and Junaid from Bharatpur district of Rajasthan were allegedly kidnapped in a car and burnt in Loharu, Haryana. The burnt bodies of both were found in a completely burnt car near Loharu. This led to tension in many areas.
