Census is going to be held in India soon. On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also hinted at this. However, he has not said anything clearly about the date in this regard. He also discussed the issue of caste census. Recently there were reports that preparations for census are going on in the country. There has been no census in the country since 2011.
On the question asked about caste census, Shah said that whenever we announce the census, all the information will be made public. Actually, earlier the census was to be conducted in the year 2021, but the process could not start due to the coronavirus epidemic. The first phase of the census was to be started on 1 April 2020, but it had to be postponed.
