Undead Unluck Season 2 Anime Announced Following Winter Arc TV Special

Undead Unluck is officially getting a second anime season, with the announcement coming right after the broadcast of the Undead Unluck Winter Arc TV special in Japan.

Alongside the confirmation, a new visual illustrated by manga creator Yoshifumi Tozuka was shared. The artwork features Shen Xiang and was released through the anime’s official social media accounts.

The staff and release date for Undead Unluck Season 2 have not been announced as of now.

Undead Unluck centres on Fuuko Izumo, a girl cursed with the ability to bring extreme misfortune to anyone she touches, and Andy, an immortal fighter who is desperate to finally die. The two end up working together as part of a secret group known as the Negators, taking on the physical manifestations of the world’s rules while slowly uncovering the truth behind the God controlling their reality.

The series is based on Yoshifumi Tozuka’s adventure comedy and supernatural manga, which ran from January 2020 to January 2025. The manga concluded with 27 volumes, all of which are published in English by Viz Media.

The anime adaptation premiered in October 2023 and aired for a total of 24 episodes. It was directed by Yuki Yase, with series composition by Yamato Haijima. Animation duties were handled by David Production, with TMS Entertainment overseeing production and planning.

Undead Unluck is currently available to stream on JioHotstar.
