The police investigation into the murder of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) president Mukesh Sahni’s father Jitan Sahni in Afzala village of Darbhanga is going on at a rapid pace and they are close to cracking the murder case. The police have four people on their radar who went to meet Jitan Sahni between 10.30 pm and 11 pm. The police have identified all of them on the basis of CCTV footage and have taken them into custody and are being questioned. The investigation so far has revealed that Jitan Sahni used to lend money to people. Jitan had lent money to two of these four people and kept the bike of one of them with himself as a guarantee. Two days ago, Jitan Sahni had also had a fight with these two over money.
Darbhanga SSP Jagunath Reddy Jalareddy said that one of the two people to whom Jeetan Sahni had given money on loan had also kept his motorcycle with him as a guarantee. These four had reached Jeetan Sahni’s house to talk about getting the motorcycle released. Police has come to know that Jeetan Sahni had an altercation with two of these people two days ago. That day both of them had threatened to teach Jeetan Sahni a lesson.
SSP Jala Reddy said that the footage obtained from the CCTV camera installed near Jeetan Sahni’s house shows that these four people entered the house between 10.30 pm and 11 pm. All four came out after staying inside the house for some time. All of them are being questioned in custody. Their mobile phones are also being searched. They are being questioned on points like their transactions with Jeetan Sahni, the reason for going to their house late at night. Investigation is also going on on other possible points regarding the murder.

The murder of Mukesh Sahni’s father caused a sensation on Tuesday. His body was found on the bed in the room on Tuesday morning. The bedsheet was completely soaked in blood. The murder was done in a very brutal manner. It is suspected that the killers held Jeetan on the bed and stabbed him with a sharp weapon. He was attacked until the killers were sure that he had died.
Many questions are being raised about the manner in which Jeetan Sahni was murdered. Although the police prima facie assumed his murder to be the work of thieves after seeing the box found in the house, it cannot be denied that the murderers may have thrown the box out to misdirect the investigation. Jeetan lived alone in his under-construction house. There is a suspicion that there were other people in the house at the time of the murder as three empty glasses were found in the room. The post-mortem and FSL reports may provide clues to the murderers.

A special team from Patna has also reached the crime scene to assist in the investigation of Jeetan Sahni’s murder. As soon as information about the murder was received, FSL and dog squad team were informed. Both the teams have also reached the crime scene and investigated. If police sources are to be believed, a lot has been found out about the killers. SDPO Manish Chandra Chaudhary said that the killers have been identified. It will be revealed soon.
