Pune Rural Police has said that Manorama Khedkar was detained from Mahad. This action has been taken against Manorama for allegedly threatening the farmers with a gun. Officials have said that she was in a hotel in Mahad. The officer said, ‘She was staying in the hotel for the last three to four days.’
Earlier, the police had registered a case against five people including Manorama and her husband Dilip Khedkar. However, even after several notices, the Khedkar family did not respond. It is reported that 5 teams of Pune Rural Police were searching for Pooja Khedkar’s parents.

Talking to news agency ANI, Pune Rural SP Pankaj Deshmukh had said, ‘The accused are absconding. We are trying to contact them, but are unable to reach them as their phones are switched off. We also reached their house, but they were not there.’
