TRAI June 2024 data jio airtel adds new users vi bsnl lost subscribers

TRAI June data: Reliance Jio is leading all telecom companies in terms of adding mobile users. In the month of June, the company has added 19.1 lakh new subscribers. This has been stated in the report of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Airtel is in second place, which added 12.5 lakh new connections in June. Overall, both companies have added more than 30 lakh new customers. The report shows that Vodafone-Idea (Vi) and BSNL have suffered a loss of customers. Vi has lost 8.6 lakh and BSNL has lost 7.45 lakh subscribers.

However, there may be good news for BSNL in July, because after mobile recharge became expensive, a large number of people have ported their numbers to BSNL. The figures for July are yet to come.

Talking about the telecom subscribers i.e. mobile number users across the country, there has been an increase of 0.16 percent in July. There were 120.6 crore mobile users in the country in the month of June. Talking about Reliance Jio, the company had 47.462 crore subscribers in May, which increased to 47.653 crore in June. The number of active subscribers of the company is 44.94 crore, which is 92.53 percent of its total subscribers.

Airtel, which is at the second position, now has 38.902 crore customers. Its number of active subscribers is 38.483 crore, which is 98.92 percent of its total user base. That is, Airtel is ahead of Jio in terms of active user base.

Vi incurs loss due to not launching 5G!

It seems that Voda-Idea is suffering losses due to not launching 5G service. The company’s subscribers are continuously decreasing. In June 2024, 8 lakh 60 thousand 889 customers left VI. The company’s subscriber base has come down from 21.816 crores to 21.730 crores. It is a matter of concern that the company’s active user base is 18.826 crores, which is 86.64 percent of the total.

The same was the case with BSNL in June. More than 7 lakh customers said bye-bye to BSNL. The total subscribers of the company are now 8.558 crores. The data shows that the request for mobile number portability is continuously increasing.
