Supreme Court Strong reaction on heroin case says may grant bail in ganja and charas no for heroin

Supreme Court News: The Supreme Court refused to grant bail to a woman accused of possessing heroin. The court said that it can grant bail even for ganja and hashish in NDPS cases. But it will not do so in the case of heroin at all. The court also explained the reason behind this and said that this is such an addiction that destroys everything. The young generation is completely ruined. While hearing the case, the bench of Justice CT Ravikumar and Sanjay Karol said that whenever there are cases related to ganja or hashish, we are in favor of bail. But we cannot do so in the case of heroin. We will have to adopt a strict attitude towards this.

The case is related to a 61-year-old woman, who is accused of possessing 500 grams of heroin. The woman was travelling in the same car in which the banned substance was found. The Punjab and Haryana High Court had refused to grant bail to the accused in this case. After this, the matter reached the Supreme Court. Here, the lawyer appearing on behalf of the woman accused had sought bail citing her age. Along with this, he argued that nothing was found from the woman.

After this, Justice Ravikumar reminded the lawyer that the woman is accused of carrying 500 grams of heroin. Justice Karol further said that heroin destroys everything. He said that it completely destroys the young generation. We cannot interfere in this matter in any way. Advocate Shrey Kapoor was arguing on behalf of the woman in the Supreme Court.
