Republican Party’s candidate for the US presidential election, Donald Trump, claimed that Facebook founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg recently called him and apologized for banning the dissemination of content related to him and assured him that he would “not support any Democrat.”

In an interview with Fox News on Friday, Trump said, “Mark Zuckerberg called me. I would say he called me multiple times. After the rally (in Pennsylvania) he called me and said that was really amazing, that was very brave.” The former president said that Zuckerberg actually assured him that he would not endorse any Democrat because he could not do that, because he respected me for what I did that day.

Regarding the content related to Trump not being aired on Meta’s platforms, Donald Trump said that I have also talked to them about this. They have assured that it was a kind of glitch. They are working on it and I think they have fixed it.

Targeted Google, said Google will shut down soon
Donald Trump on Friday targeted Google over reports of banning news and pictures related to him. In an interview with Fox News, Trump said that Google’s attitude has been very bad. They have been very irresponsible and I think Google is going to be on the verge of closure. Because I don’t think Congress (US Parliament) will accept this. Google has to be careful. Trump had alleged that it is almost impossible to find any picture or other material related to the deadly attack on him during an election rally in Pennsylvania on July 13 on Google. CEO of social media platform X and the world’s richest man Elon Musk had also accused Google that Google is blocking any photo or video of Trump from being searched or is not showing it when searched.

Google denied Trump’s allegations and said there was nothing like that

Google had rejected the former president’s allegations. The company said in a social media post, “In the past few days, some people on ‘X’ have claimed that the search engine is censoring or ‘banning’ select words. This is not happening. We want to make it clear. These posts are related to our ‘Autocomplete’ feature, which guesses the questions running in your mind to save you time.”

Google had clarified that ‘Autocomplete’ is not making any guess regarding the questions related to the deadly attack on former President Trump. This is because it has a system to filter out the content related to political violence and this system has become outdated. The company had said that after the horrific incident in Pennsylvania, possible questions related to it should have appeared in the ‘Search’ option, but this did not happen. Google had said that the problem has been identified and work has been started towards improving it and new features are being released.
