Big uproar over bulldozer action in Delhi, thousands of people surrounded it and created ruckus

There was a huge uproar on the bulldozer action in Delhi on Tuesday morning. The Delhi Police and Municipal Corporation team had reached the Bhalswa Dairy Colony in Delhi in the morning to take action against illegal construction on dairy plots. Thousands of people came out on the road in protest against this. They surrounded the bulldozer and started a ruckus. Despite heavy security, the team had to stop the action in view of the anger of the crowd.

The people protesting said that Bhalswa Dairy Colony has been present here for 50 years. A landfill site was constructed here in the 1990s. Due to this the situation here has become very bad. People here produce dairy in a systematic manner. The action of the administration is not justified.

Extensive security arrangements were made to take action against illegal encroachment. But the arrangements proved inadequate in front of the crowd. People removed the police barricades. Police and corporation employees are also continuously talking to the people. People stood in front of the bulldozer.

The Delhi Municipal Corporation issued notices to violators last week to take action against illegal constructions made in Bhalswa Dairy Colony. According to officials, in July, the Delhi High Court had ordered the corporation and the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) to demolish the illegal dairy plots being used for commercial and residential purposes without any legal approval.

Now in view of this, the Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to the violators to remove the illegal construction. If this is not removed, the Municipal Corporation administration will ensure action to remove these illegal constructions. Along with this, the Municipal Administration has also given a notice of action against illegal construction in Shahbad Dairy Colony.
