Praised Pakistan, called India a time bomb; Delhi cab driver claims

The cab driver who dropped the passenger midway for badmouthing Delhi and India has now come forward and told the whole story of that night. Cab driver Gaurav Sharma, who went viral on social media, has said in an interview to a YouTube channel that he got angry for praising Pakistan and calling India a ‘time bomb’ and so he dropped him midway. However, Gaurav has also apologized for using some abusive words.

Gaurav said in an interview that this incident happened on 9th August. He drives an app based cab. He picked up the ride from Greater Kailash at around 12 in the night. At that time both of them had cigarettes and drinks in their hands. According to Gaurav, the boy said to the girl sitting next to him, ‘I was born in Delhi but my family is from Pakistan. I am scared to live in Delhi. There is no decent person in Delhi. There are very bad people here.’ According to Gaurav, when he objected to this, he was told that all the people of India are like this.

The cab driver said that the thing that made him angry was not shown in the viral video. Gaurav said, ‘The girl in the cab said that the people of Delhi are selfish. India is there on time, but one never knows when it will explode.’ The cab driver said that he got angry at this and dropped both of them on the way. The driver said that the boy was repeatedly praising Pakistan. The cab driver said that he even called the police control room, but then they fled with an auto. Gaurav said, ‘When they started shouting, in anger I said some words for which I am sorry.’

The passenger who accused the cab driver of making her get off the car midway also mentioned the entire incident in detail on her Instagram channel. In a post, she also said that people have been abusing her since the incident. Later, she deactivated her account. It is worth noting that a video went viral recently in which a heated argument was seen between a cab driver and two passengers.
