Atishi took oath as the 8th Chief Minister of Delhi on Saturday. LG VK Saxena administered the oath of office and secrecy to Atishi. Atishi is the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi after Congress’ Sheila Dixit and BJP’s Sushma Swaraj. In her cabinet, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Mukesh Ahlawat took oath as ministers. Now the departments of these ministers have been divided.

It is worth noting that Atishi has kept the responsibility of important departments like Finance, Vigilance and Water Ministry with herself. Atishi will have the responsibility of 1. Public Works Department, 2. Electricity, 3. Education, 4. Higher Education, 5. Training and Technical Education, 6. Public Relations Department, 7. Revenue, 8. Finance, 9. Planning, 10. Services, 11. Vigilance, 12. Water, 13. Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs. Not only this, she will also have all the other departments which have not been allocated to any other minister.

Saurabh Bhardwaj has been given the responsibility of 1. Urban Development, 2. Irrigation and Flood Control, 3. Health, 4. Industry, 5. Art, Culture and Language, 6. Tourism Department, 7. Social Welfare and 8. Cooperation Department.
