All temples will be cleaned soon, Chandrababu Naidu announces amid Tirupati Laddu controversy

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has made a big statement on the Tirupati Laddu controversy. He said that the ‘cleaning process’ will be started soon in all the temples of the state. According to India Today report, Naidu made this announcement while addressing the media at the Telugu Desam Party’s central office. Also, he reiterated the state government’s commitment to respect religious sentiments. He said that after allegations of adulteration of Tirupati Laddu with animal fat, the government will consult saints, priests and other top experts of Hinduism about the future step.

The Chief Minister said that after consultation, the government will take its decision regarding Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), which is the official custodian of the world famous Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirupati. In fact, CM Naidu had made a big claim during the recent National Democratic Alliance (NDA) legislature party meeting. He said that the previous YSRCP government did not spare even the Sri Venkateswara temple and used substandard material and animal fat in making the popular Tirupati laddus, famous for their unique taste.

‘How did you buy ghee for less than Rs 320 per kg’

Highlighting the unique glory of Tirupati laddu, the Chief Minister said that many people tried to make a better prasad, but they failed. Naidu said, ‘In Ayodhya also they tried to make laddu exactly like Tirumala and artisans were also taken from here for that but it could not happen. People of Ayodhya told me about this matter.’ He criticized YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for refuting the allegations of animal fat and the report of NDDB laboratory on ghee used in laddus. The TDP chief questioned how can cow ghee be bought at a price less than Rs 320 per kg?
