A police team has been attacked in Bihar. Here criminals attacked the police team with bows and arrows. During this an arrow pierced the face of a female policeman. The condition of the female policeman is critical. The incident is from Araria district. A female police officer was seriously injured when she was shot by anti-social elements while trying to occupy a plot of land in Pokhariya village under Mahalgaon police station of Jokihat block of the district on Monday early morning. An arrow hit her face.

The incident happened when hundreds of people were trying to occupy the land by putting bamboos. On receiving the information, when the Mahalgaon police station in-charge and the police force reached the spot to maintain law and order, the anti-social elements in the crowd attacked the police force. During this, arrows were also fired. Jokihat’s sub-inspector Nusrat Parveen was injured by the arrow.

After first aid, the inspector has been admitted to Purnia Max Hospital for better treatment. Confirming the case, SP Amit Ranjan said that at present, sufficient number of police forces along with magistrates have been deputed to maintain law and order at this place. The situation is normal now. The land is said to be of Bhup Narayan Yadav.
