He is very powerful, send him on leave; HC orders action against principal in doctor’s murder and rape case

The High Court has given strict orders in the case of rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. On Tuesday, the court has asked former principal of RG Kar Medical College, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, to go on leave. The bench said that you are very powerful and it will be difficult to conduct a fair investigation while you are there. Dr. Ghosh had resigned from the post of principal of the medical college, but within a few hours he was made the principal of Calcutta National Medical College. The High Court has also raised questions about this.

The court has also summoned the case diary in this case. The court said that it is a serious matter that the principal resigned taking moral responsibility and he was given another appointment within 12 hours. The bench said that as the principal of the medical college, he was the guardian of all the doctors. If he does not show goodwill towards the victim, then who will do it? Now he should not work anywhere but should stay at his home. Meanwhile, the post-mortem report of the deceased doctor has also come out. According to this report, the private part of the victim was also tampered with.

This murder and rape happened on 9th August between 3 to 5 am. The body of the doctor which was found showed that there were deep injuries and bleeding in many parts including legs, fingers, stomach, private parts. According to experts, the accused had gagged the victim’s mouth and her head was continuously banged on the floor. This murder has shaken the whole of Bengal and CM Mamata Banerjee herself is on the backfoot. This was the reason why she reached the victim’s residence on Monday and said that we give time to the police till Sunday, but if the investigation is not completed by then then the case will be transferred to the CBI.
