There were 3 bodies at the crematorium, but the daughter was cremated first; Kolkata victim’s father raised serious questions

In the rape-murder case at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, the doctor of the victim has given a big statement. He said that no one from the department or the college cooperated with him regarding this case. While talking to news agency ANI, the father said, ‘This is a big problem for us and the entire department has been involved in this. When the principal needed to sign, I was called to the office. He said that I cannot go there.’ The victim’s father was asked whether his daughter’s body was forcibly cremated at the crematorium? In answer to that, he said that there were 3 bodies at the crematorium, but our daughter’s body was cremated first. We were very sad at that time.

On the investigation of the case by the Central Investigation Agency, he said, ‘We kept getting assurances about the case which we did not like. That is why we approached the CBI.’ He said that the daughter did not tell us anything that would cause us any kind of tension. In response to a question related to Mamata Banerjee, the father said, ‘The Chief Minister is talking about getting justice, but then attempts are being made to put the common people seeking justice in jail. What is happening? This makes us very sad. We are not satisfied with the Chief Minister.’

Parents refused to take compensation

The victim’s father said that we have refused to take any compensation. Something will happen only after the culprit is punished. We are just asking for justice. He said, ‘The investigation is going on, it has not yielded any results. We hope we will get results.’ It is known that the body of a trainee lady doctor was found in the seminar hall of RG Kar Hospital and College in Kolkata on August 9. The very next day an accused was arrested in this case. Anger has been seen all over the country against this incident. Protests have taken place in different cities of the country. Also, a strike was also carried out by the doctors due to which the patients had to face a lot of problems. Even today the strike is going on in many places.
