Shiv Sena (Eknath faction) MP Milind Deora on Saturday took a dig at former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He said that Uddhav Thackeray’s dream of becoming the Chief Minister will remain a dream and Congress will never make him the face for the post of Chief Minister. Deora said that he has closely observed the working of the Congress. It is known that Milind Deora has been in the Congress for a long time and he was counted among the leaders considered very close to the Gandhi family. Before the Lok Sabha elections, Deora left the Congress and joined the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde.
According to India Today, Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora said, “Uddhav Thackeray has gone with the Maha Vikas Aghadi in the hope of becoming the Chief Minister. After yesterday’s incident, it is clear that Uddhav Thackeray’s dream of becoming the Chief Minister will remain only a dream. I have seen the functioning of the Congress closely. I can say with confidence that they will not support Uddhav for the post of Chief Minister.” At the same time, regarding the CM post of the Mahayuti government, Deora said that there is no confusion of any kind in this and soon the announcement will be made regarding the face for the post of Chief Minister.
‘Uddhav never said that he will become CM, but…’
At the same time, Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) leader Sanjay Raut said on Saturday that party chief Uddhav Thackeray never said that he would become the Chief Minister and if Congress or NCP (NCP) has a face, then Uddhav is ready to support. Talking to the media at Nagpur airport today, Raut said, “Uddhav Thackeray does not need to come forward, he did not come forward even in 2019, everyone together made him CM. Now talking about 2024, Uddhav Thackeray never said that I will become CM, listen to tomorrow’s speech. If Congress NCP has a face then bring it forward, Uddhav Thackeray is ready to support that face, but Uddhav Thackeray is in the hearts of the people of Maharashtra.” Let us tell you that just yesterday Uddhav Thackeray has said that he does not support the idea of the party with the maximum MLAs getting the post of Chief Minister.
