Trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar Big Fraud: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has conducted an investigation against trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, who has been embroiled in controversies for the past few days, in which it has come to light that Pooja has committed large-scale fraud and forgery to get selected in the civil services. The UPSC investigation report states that Pooja Khedkar not only changed her name but also changed the names of her father and mother. Not only this, she changed her entire identity and appeared for the UPSC exam by changing her photo, her signature, her email ID, mobile number and address.

UPSC has issued a press release in this regard, stating that Pooja Khedkar has taken advantage of the UPSC exam by appearing in the examination more than the maximum limit permissible under the rules of the Commission for selection. The Commission has said in its release that a detailed and thorough investigation has been conducted into the misbehavior of Pooja Manorama Dilip Khedkar, a provisionally recommended candidate of the Civil Services Examination-2022. This investigation has revealed that she has taken advantage of more attempts than the permissible limit under the examination rules by changing her identity by changing her name, her father’s and mother’s name, her photo / signature, her email ID, mobile number and address.

UPSC filed FIR against trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar, notice issued; job also at risk

After this investigation, UPSC has started action against her. The commission has now decided to prosecute Pooja Khedkar criminally. In this regard, an FIR has been lodged against her at the police station. Apart from this, the commission has issued a show cause notice to her to cancel her candidature and ban her from appearing in future examinations as per the rules of Civil Services Examination-2022.

Meanwhile, Manorama Khedkar, mother of Puja Khedkar, has been arrested by Pune Rural Police for allegedly threatening farmers at gunpoint. A case was registered against Manorama for threatening farmers. Based on this complaint, Manorama was arrested from a hotel in Mahad in Raigad district, police said. Police said they were looking for Manorama for the past few days and searched for her in her hometown Pathardi, Mumbai, Pune. Based on credible information that she was hiding in a hotel in Mahad, a team of Pune Rural Police Crime Branch raided the hotel in the wee hours and arrested Manorama, it said.

It is worth noting that for the last few days, trainee IAS officer Pooja, her mother Manorama and father Dilip Khedkar have been in the news. A video of Manorama has surfaced in which she is allegedly seen threatening a farmer with a gun. Manorama had bought 25 acres of land in Dhadwali village of Mulshi in Pune and tried to occupy some other lands as well. Police said that when the land owner objected to this, Manorama allegedly threatened him.
