What is Khilafat, what the Ranchi doctor wanted
The successors of Prophet Muhammad are called Caliphs. A person who leads people according to the laws of Islamic religion is called Caliph and his rule is called ‘Khilafat’. ISIS, which is said to be the most dreaded terrorist organization, declared its chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as ‘Caliph’ in 2014. He wanted to impose complete Islamic rule in Iraq and Syria. Similarly, Dr. Ishtiaq also wanted to impose Islamic rule in India through terrorist attacks.
