OpenAI Gets 10 Lakh Paid Users For Business Version of Most Popular AI Model ChatGPT

The number of paid users of the business version of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI) application, has exceeded 1 million. This is a sign of growing demand from business clients for OpenAI’s chatbots despite increasing competition. OpenAI said that these users include those who signed up for its ChatGPT team and enterprise services.

This version of ChatGPT is targeted at companies as well as people using its ChatGPT Edu in universities. OpenAI said in April that it had ChatGPT The business version of ChatGPT has 6 lakh users. The startup launched Edu in May. OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Enterprise about a year ago with additional features and protection for privacy. With this, OpenAI tried to increase its revenue and reduce the impact of the high cost of making AI products.

Earlier this year, ChatGPT introduced ChatGPT Team for small firms. After this, its rivals also launched similar services. The number of business users of OpenAI has increased rapidly. However, it is not known how many of these are new users. About half of OpenAI’s business users are in the US. Apart from this, its chatbot is quite popular in Germany, Britain and Japan. Microsoft, one of the big software companies, has invested in ChatGPT. Last year, Microsoft’s shares rose significantly after taking a big step in Generative Artificial Intelligence by investing in ChatGPT maker OpenAI.

However, generative AI also has many disadvantages. Cases of fraud are increasing due to its use and fake videos are also being created. Due to this, regulators in many countries are preparing to take strict action against it. The European Union has amended its AI Act and the US has started efforts for AI regulation.
