The two main contenders for the Haryana government, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress, have released their manifestos. BJP He said, ‘We will increase the amount of all social monthly pensions based on a scientific formula linking DA and pensions.’ The existing pension of mother tongue satyagrahis will be increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000. BJP has promised to increase the salary of sanitation workers from Rs 16,000/17,000 to Rs 26,000/27,000. The party has also announced to give Rs 10,000 annually to street vendors and hawkers to start a business.

Congress The party has promised to give gas cylinders worth Rs 500 to all women. It has also been said that 300 units of free electricity will be given to every household. BJP He said that under the Har Ghar Grihini Yojana, Antyodaya and BPL families will continue to get cylinders for just Rs 500. Apart from this, the party has also promised to provide 5 lakh houses in urban and rural areas. The party said that 5 lakh houses will be given free electricity through the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. Along with this, a scheme of loan at an annual rate of 7 percent from banks on government guarantee will be implemented to build houses on HSVP plots.

BJP He said that we will create separate welfare boards with adequate budget for the welfare of small backward castes (36 biradaris). Apart from the Mudra scheme, the state government will also guarantee a loan of Rs 25 lakh for entrepreneurs from other backward classes.
