App developer bought JioHotstar domain placed a condition in front of Reliance to sell it

The merger of Reliance’s Viacom18 and Disney + Hotstar is one of the biggest deals of this year. Now an app developer from Delhi has found a ray of hope for himself in this merger. An ‘anonymous’ developer has purchased the domain name jiohotstar.com. He feels that after the merger, when Jio and Hotstar become one, they will contact him to buy this domain. In return he does not want a huge amount. He is demanding to bear the expenses of studying in Cambridge.

jiohotstar.com The app developer on the domain has written an open letter to the officials of Reliance Industries. He has told how he got the idea of buying this domain. The developer says that in the year 2023, it had read in the news that the subscribers of Disney Plus Hotstar are decreasing after losing the streaming rights of IPL and it is thinking of selling or merging its platform with an Indian company.

According to the developer, because merger talks were also going on between Zee and Sony at that time, he felt that a deal could be done between Reliance’s Viacom18 and Disney. The developer says that when Jio bought the music streaming platform ‘Saavn’, its domain was changed to jiosavan.com.

The developer felt that if Jio and Hotstar merged, a domain called jiohotstar.com could be created. The developer checked the domain, found it was available, and took it. Develop hopes that by selling this domain he can fulfill his dream of studying in Cambridge. The app developer says that after the merger, jiohotstar.com will be a better domain than hotstar.com or jiocinema. He says that the cost of domain is a small matter for a billion dollar company, but it can fulfill his dream of studying in Cambridge.
