Bloomberg’s Report It has been said that mass production of Xiaomi processors will start next year. The company will also launch a new phone with that processor next year itself.
According to the report, the Chinese government does not want its companies to depend too much on foreign technology. Chinese companies have been asked many times to reduce their dependence on foreign technology and perhaps Xiaomi has understood this.
However, it remains to be seen what kind of response Xiaomi’s processor gets in the market. It will also be tested how Xiaomi’s processor competes with the chipsets of Qualcomm and MediaTek. It is not yet known how much investment Xiaomi is making to develop the chipset.
Currently the company is using processors from both Qualcomm and MediaTek. These processors are used in the company’s flagship smartphones to budget phones. In the recently launched Xiaomi 15 series, the company has installed Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Xiaomi is going to introduce Redmi Note 14 series in the Indian market on December 9, in which many AI features can be provided.
The report does not mention which other Chinese companies apart from Xiaomi are engaged in developing their processors. Apart from Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, Oppo and Realme are among the major Chinese smartphone companies which are doing business in India.
