The accused of a crime committed 11 years ago in Kalkaji, Delhi will be able to go to London to become a father. The court has allowed him to go to his wife living in London. The court has said that he has the right to raise a family. His wife cannot come to India, so he is allowed to go abroad.
A young man named Anmol died in Kalkaji area in 2013. In the initial investigation, the police found out that he was taking drugs with his friends. After this, he became violent. His friends and the guard deployed there tried to stop him by using force, due to which he died. The police registered a case of culpable homicide and NDPS Act. The police also arrested his friends and guard. Of these, the guard is accused of culpable homicide and his friends are accused of buying and using drugs. At present, this case is going on in the court.
Even before this I had gone abroad for a wedding
The government advocate opposed the accused’s plea. He said that this case is very serious and the accused cannot be allowed to go abroad. If he goes abroad, he will not return to attend the trial. The accused’s advocate Ravi Daral told the court that in December 2019 too, he had gone to the Philippines to attend a family wedding. He had returned on time following the rules set by the court.
The court said- the young man has the right to move forward with his family
After hearing both the parties, the court has given permission to the accused to go abroad till 28 December. The court has accepted that the young man has the right to raise a family. He had not violated anything when he went abroad earlier. The court has given him permission to go abroad with some conditions.
Wife cannot come to India at present
The accused had filed a petition in the court seeking permission to go to London for two years. His advocate Ravi Daral told the court that even after 11 years, the charges have not been framed yet. The trial of the case may take a long time. He got married in December 2022 and his wife works in an international company in London. She cannot come to India at present. In such a situation, he has to go to London to raise the family. Documents related to this were also given before the court by the accused.
